Not the wealthiest city financially but the wealthiest city nonetheless. A lot of money is invested in new, promising projects. Inventors presenting new ideas in front of the council might find support more easily.
The council is made up out of the prominent figures of different aspects of the city:
Located on a plateau, a small harbor town at the foot of it. Unknown too the local population, caverns spread under the city in the plateau. Some forgotten.
Small outpost / settlement, little success at first. Inventor born who created the basics of steam tech and improved clockwork after playing with toys.
Sadly, he was no business man and died poorly. His inventions inspired however and the outpost became a commertially succesful city, giving birth too the scolar society which continued much of the man's work.
This, in turn caused a few other things, namely arcanists grouping together, forming the arcanists society, as well as the scientificly advanced methods The Watch use to solve crime.
